WHAT IS ASIATIC ARCHERY?
The most instinctive style
A Traditional style of archery originating from Asia, part of the Mediterranean, and the Middle East, characterized by the use of composite recurve bows made from materials like wood, horn, and sinew.
Known for extreme speed and mobility of the archers, often leveraged by riding on horseback
TECHNICAL ASPECTS
Extreme Shooting Speed:
- Equipment: composite recurve bows (usually with no shell) with a thumb draw technique, with thumb ring for protection and grip.
- Technique: The stance is slightly open, with a unique anchor point near the ear or jawline. The shooting technique involves a dynamic motion with forward and backward movements of the bow and drawing hands, respectively, known as “khatra” or “torque.”

Level 1: Introduction to Asiatic Archery (2-weeks course)
For Complete Beginners- Novice Level
Completion of initiation to recurve lesson strongly recommended but not necessary

- 1 hr/week, for 2 weeks
- All Equipment included
Whom is it for:
- Complete beginners & novices looking to explore the world of Asiatic archery.
- Recommended age: 11 or older
Focus:
- Basic body awareness, bio-mechanics & muscle movement
- Basic posture, stance and shooting form
- Use of thumb release

Level 2: Asiatic Archery Coaching Session
Completion of level 1 Asiatic course required
Or special permission from the lead instructor

- 1 or 2 hour(s) session, depending on your choice
